The new headquarters building of Sopro in Wiesbaden, Germany, is located not far from the production plant and is positioned within the green landscape. It achieves this by dividing the program into several blocks that enclose a large courtyard. The office spaces primarily feature open-plan layouts, offering views across the countryside from both sides of the building. The building’s elevations are characterized by a deliberate repetition of a unique type of openings. The facades draw inspiration from the baroque palaces of Wiesbaden, rendered in light plaster but enriched with a refined array of gray stone elements including columns, entrances, cornices, roof trabeations, window sills, lintels, and basement, all crafted from polished and textured precast panels.
