What shape should a new building have in the landscape? What defines the essence of a building beyond its function? How can the need for representation be met in such a highly mediatised sport? Is it feasible for a modern building to embody the dimension of duration? The project aims to reconcile two contrasting themes: the suburban context and the abstract, geometric nature of the training grounds.
