The complex transformation of an existing 1970s hotel building, situated opposite Porta Garibaldi Railway Station, involves the articulation of an urban block using a sequence of three distinct pieces. The project is conceived as a ‘building made of buildings’ with varying heights and rhythms. This strategy serves as a critical response to the uniform office buildings commonly found throughout the city.
