This small addition is part of a larger redevelopment of the Public Healthcare Laboratories Center in Milan, a listed 1940s building located along via Juvara. The new vertical lift tower, situated on the main facade, draws its character and materiality from the original construction. The stone cladding is composed of a grid of 6cm-thick Botticino linear elements, while the glazing is flush with the stone veneer, giving the new volume an abstract and austere character.
